New challenge

I just found a new challenge to join.....yes another one. I really NEED this one. As the creative person that I am; I always go about my day thinking of so many different things that I could and want to do sometimes a forget to just enjoy the moments. This new challenge I think will help me with that. As the aspiring photographer that I'm; I am always looking for the perfect moment, light, composition etc etc... but life is much more than that.
I want to make sure I capture memories for my children to remember their lives by. I want then to look at their photos close their eyes and be able to smell the aromas that were lingering in the air at the moment the photo was taken. I want them to feel the cool breeze as they ran around at the park on spring afternoons. I want them to feel the joy they felt as children. I want them to know they were loved inmensely.

Okay the simple explanation of the "right now challenge" is to just capture life as it happens with out trying to stage or plan the documentation of your family's everyday life....so here are the my "right now" moments of this week.

There are days that seem to drag on for what seems like forever but I know they are growing so fast each and everyday. I know one day I will wish they were little again. I'm so gratefull that I have the luxury to be able to stay home and take care of them as hard as it is at times; I wouldn't want it any other way.

I hope each one of you has a great Mother's Day! I know maybe not everyone is a mother or has their mom with them and to those I wish you guys a good weekend surrounded by your love ones.

  1. I totally hear you! I tend not to shoot if the light is really harsh, but I've been forcing myself to do it lately. And you know what? I've gotten some really cool shots that I wouldn't have otherwise.

I'm really enjoying Willette's challenge too.

Could your boys be any more adorable!? Love that second shot.

  2. These are great! Time does that slow motion thing, and then you blink and they are older!

These photographs are so cute! :)
This place looks familiar and I know I have passed by it. Is it the Chandler Mall?
